The Georgia Tech PhD2Consulting Club is opening up a SECOND ROUND of applications for volunteer consultant positions in our Volunteer Consulting Engagements (VCE) - summer 2017 edition. This opportunity is for paid members only (membership fees are $35)
About Volunteer Consulting Engagements:
In the management consulting industry, an engagement aims at providing the client with practical and actionable fact-based recommendations to address their strategic management challenges and improve their performance. A volunteer consulting engagement intends replicating a professional management consulting engagement. It is a very valuable opportunity to acquire real management consulting experience with a real client, on a real problem, with real impact and outcomes, while being mentored by professional consultants.

What we look for:
For the volunteer consultant position, besides passion, dedication and energy we look for:
From May – August 2017 (about 3 months);
Trip on the client’s site (Atlanta area);
- Hard work & Integrity
At least 7 hours of work per week on the engagement;
Pledge to high standards;
You will be representing the Georgia Tech brand, and the GT PhD2CC;
- Social skills
Good communication skills;
Tips & recommendations for the application:
- Don’t waste time tailoring your resume to the one-page management consulting standard. Be yourself and leave the maximum amount of relevant + irrelevant information in your resume (including publications) that can help us understand better who you are.
- Spend some time understanding why you want to participate in a VCE. We will pay particular attention to your motivation paragraph. Don’t waste time quoting your resume achievements in your motivation paragraph.
- Consider applying only if you think you are a good fit with regards to the ‘what we look for’ section.
